Lower charge overpotential of sodium–oxygen (Na–O2) batteries makes them a promising electrical storage technology. However, they have an undesirable discharge product, sodium carbonate (Na2CO3), which has widely been found in many previous studies. Whether and how the carbon components in the cathode are involved in the formation of Na2CO3 is still not well understood. Herein, an all solid-state Na–O2 battery was constructed and its charge and discharge cycles were studied using ambient pressure X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. The operando XPS results clearly demonstrate the formation of Na2CO3 on the cathode during the discharge cycle. A fraction of the carbonate formed can be cycled while charging the battery. Transformation of the carbon-based cathode to Na2CO3 is a potential cause of capacity fading of the Na–O2 battery. 相似文献
In this study, the ultrasound was fixed in the pulp zone of flotation cell and its effect on the true flotation of lignite was analyzed. Flotation results indicated that the simultaneous ultrasound treatment increased the concentrate yield and decreased the concentrate ash content. Screening analysis of flotation products revealed that the ultrasound could crush coarse coal to fine coal and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) tests indicated that the ultrasound could reduce the coverage of high-ash coal fines on the coarse particle surface. Thus, the flotation recovery of coarse lignite particle was increased. In addition, the true flotation and entrainment of ?0.074 mm fine particles were studied by the sink-float test and the method of Trahar. It was found the ultrasound significantly enhanced the true flotation of fine particles and improved the overall water recovery in lignite flotation. 相似文献
With the purpose of developing a feasible approach for measuring the surface tension of solders containing surfactants, the surface tension of Sn–3Ag–0.5Cu–xP solder alloys, with various drop sizes as well as different phosphorus (P) content, was evaluated using the Dorsey method based on the sessile drop test. The results show that the accuracy of the surface tension calculations depends on both of sessile drop size and the liquid metal composition. With a proper drop size, in the range of 4.5 mm to 5.3 mm in equivalent spherical diameters, the deviation of the surface tension calculation can be limited to 1.43 mN·m?1 and 6.30 mN·m?1 for SnAgCu and SnAgCu–P, respectively. The surface tension of SnAgCu–xP solder alloys decreases quickly to a minimum value when the P content reaches 0.5 wt% and subsequently increases slowly with the P content further increasing. The formation of a P-enriched surface layer and Sn4P3 intermetallic phases is regarded to be responsible for the decreasing and subsequent increasing of surface tension, respectively. 相似文献
The K metal batteries are emerged as promising alternatives beyond commercialized Li-ion batteries. However, suppressing uncontrolled dendrite is crucial to the accomplishment of K metal batteries. Herein, an oxygen-rich treated carbon cloth (TCC) has been designed as the K plating host to guide K homogeneous nucleation and suppress the dendrite growth. Both density function theory calculations and experimental results demonstrate that abundant oxygen functional groups as K-philic sites on TCC can guide K nucleation and deposition homogeneously. As a result, the TCC electrode exhibits an ultra-long-life over 800 cycles at high current density of 3.0 mA·cm−2 for 3.0 mA·h·cm−2. Furthermore, the symmetrical cells can run stably for 2,000 h with low over-potential less than 20 mV at 1.0 mA·cm−2 for 1.0 mA·h·cm−2. Even at a higher current of 5.0 mA·cm−2, the TCC electrode can still stably cycle for 1,400 h.
